It's Raining (Fire)Men!

I acquired some fireman fabric! It's an Alexander Henry print and it is hot hot hot! (yes, I went there.)

Under the sea

How have I not shown this off before now?

A little sea-snail at the bottom, near the seaweed green ruffle:

Apron Joy!!

First up, Day of the Dead skulls. The sub-par camera doesn't do the fabric justice, nor the colours. But, the fabric design! The hand-embroidered pockets!

Next up the flamingos!

Pocket close-up. It is hand embroidered with the word "TRASH" in a punk-rock style.

And the flamingo applique:

Next, my pretty, pretty birdies.

Fabric close-up:

In action:

Really, these all speak for themselves. I love all my apron-children so much!

WHEW! I'm sewing every second, all night and day, when I'm not at my bill-paying full time job...look how tired I am!

This morning's pride and joy....

.....is the Victorian Fop apron!

The first photo is a close up of my favourite guy. He has marvelous pin-curls. The second is a close up of a couple other fellows, and then a full shot of the apron. I am in love with the way the ruffles came out!

I found these guys on something that came from my grandmothers fabric stash. The backing is a pillowcase from the same place. From the 70's!

All in all, I'm pretty sure if I could marry an apron, I would marry this one. It would make a fancy husband.

(Let's all give a hand to the display model....the couch! *clap*clap*)

What have I been up to? (part 2)

Also, sleep masks!

Get some shut eye in style!

(the fireman is unfinished, but he was too fabulous not to share!)

Also, my camera is busted, so I've been using Photo Booth on my Mac. That is why the picture quality on these is sort of.....eh.
